My mother is still in good health, but the average age at which my parents were diagnosed with cancer was about 60. The fact that my parents, who lived righteous lives and tried their best to live, are far short of the average life expectancy of Japanese people gave me the opportunity to think deeply about my own way of life and my way of thinking.

My father showed me at the end of his life how to make my family happy by having fun. I will continue to think about how I can continue to do my job in a way that makes my family happy by getting excited about it. Only those things that you truly cherish will be cherished by you.

Since I started natural farming, I have come to feel the influence of the sun and moon through the crops I grow. As I have become more and more sensitive to the changing of the seasons, the temperature, and when it will rain, I have come to realize that my own body and mind are also influenced by the changing of the seasons and the movements of celestial bodies such as the sun and moon .

The people who drink tea and the people who make tea together. I hope that through making tea and through drinking tea, both of them will live rich lives. That is my humble wish.
