How to work based on the calendar

The human mind and body are natural

Since I started natural farming, I have come to feel the influence of the sun and moon through the crops I grow. As I have become more and more sensitive to the changing of the seasons, the temperature, and when it will rain, I have come to realize that my own body and mind are also influenced by the changing of the seasons and the movements of celestial bodies such as the sun and moon .

When you feel uneasy even when you're not doing anything.
When you feel tired for no particular reason.
When something keeps going wrong or you can't come up with any good ideas, even though you can't think of anything that's happening at the moment.

I feel like there are times when human strength just can't do enough for our bodies and minds. When that happens, I take the plunge and take a rest, but if I can think that the cause may be the movement of celestial bodies, I can relax a little.

When you're not in the groove, pushing yourself too hard can be the most draining thing you can do both physically and mentally. So, my theme for this year is how to be aware of those times as much as possible and work in a relaxed manner throughout the year, in line with the calendar.

Work in a way that trains your body and mind throughout the year

It was a simple question: if you go to university, get a job, and start working at a company, your job will be all about intellectual labor and using your brain, so won't your body get weaker and weaker throughout your life? Even back then, I was reading a lot of books, so I was worried about whether I would be able to maintain a healthy body until I was in my 60s.

Even back then, I didn't have much confidence in my physical strength, so I wanted to avoid my body getting weaker as I got older. How could I work in a way that would train both my mind and my body at the same time?

1)
There are times when you have to use your brain a lot. 2) But at the same time there are times when you have to do a lot of physical labor. 3) There is time to slowly recover.

I'm trying out different things and experimenting, and somehow I'm on my way to making it happen. Thanks to that, I feel like I have more stamina than I did in my 20s.

Working according to the calendar

Since we started natural farming, we have come to understand that good intellectual work requires a good body, and good physical work requires a good brain. Based on our experiences, we are planning the Yuuzado calendar from this year onwards so that we can train our brains and bodies in the right way through work throughout the year.

This year, I would like to follow this schedule, based on the calendar.

①Beginning of Spring – Vernal Equinox (3/21) New Challenges and Preparation for Farm Work/Settlement of Accounts ②Vernal Equinox – Summer Solstice (Around 6/21) Peak of Farm Work, 100% Physical Labor ③Summer Solstice – Beginning of Autumn (Around 8/8) Peak of Farm Work
④The beginning of autumn – autumn equinox (around September 21st) The season for learning ⑤The beginning of winter – autumn equinox (around November 8th) Farm work ends
⑥ Beginning of Winter - Winter Solstice (around December 21st) Work hard to sell tea
⑦Winter solstice-Beginning of Spring (around February 4th) Focus on resting the body

◎ During the periods of doyo before the beginning of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, try not to exert yourself too much and take it easy and rest.
◎We will create a field according to the 72 seasons so that we can grow seasonal vegetables to eat ourselves.
◎Farm work is planned according to the phases of the moon.
◎ Actively offering seasonal fish and fruits ◎ This year we will be growing flowers so that you can enjoy seasonal flowers.
◎I would like to hold a small seasonal tea party.

As a Japanese company born in Japan, we would like to take advantage of the richness of the four seasons in our management and grow slowly year after year.
